Token types, usage, returns, purchases, and balance history.

The four token types

PassTru records usage with event, attendee, booth, and visitor tokens. Each type maps to one event workflow.

  • Event tokens: create or duplicate events.
  • Attendee tokens: add or import attendees.
  • Booth tokens: create booths and booth clones during duplication.
  • Visitor tokens: register visitors for booth gamification.

When tokens are consumed

Tokens are deducted when the matching action succeeds. For example, creating an event deducts one event token and adding an attendee deducts one attendee token.

  • Creating an event deducts one event token.
  • Duplicating an event deducts one event token.
  • Adding attendees individually or by CSV import consumes attendee tokens.
  • Creating booths consumes booth tokens.
  • Visitor registration consumes visitor tokens.

Token returns when an event is deleted

Deleting an event returns eligible attendee, booth, and visitor tokens linked to that event. The event token used to create the event is not returned.

Deleting an individual attendee or booth does not return a token.

Purchase tokens

Open Tokens, build your cart, review the total, and continue to secure checkout.

After successful payment, PassTru updates the organization balance and records the transaction in the purchase history.

Recommended checklist

  • Top up before large imports or event-day operations.
  • Review quantity tiers before purchase.
  • Confirm the updated balance after payment completes.

Plan token usage

Estimate the event structure first, followed by attendee volume, booths, and expected visitor participation.

  • Attendee-only events usually need event and attendee tokens first.
  • Sponsor-heavy events often need booth and visitor tokens planned early.
  • Purchase tokens before event day, not during a live queue.
